My name is Jon, this if my first blog, and I’M A DAD. I’m thrilled beyond belief. Our little angel arrived on June 4, 2014, more than a month before her due date. It was the most terrifying night of my life, and it certainly did not go according to my plans, but it went exactly how God meant it to go. Two weeks in the NICU later, we were able to bring our sweetheart home. I’m married to an incredible, loving, strong woman, I love the outdoors, and love exploring and learning. Oh, and sports. Don’t forget sports. I love sports…like a lot. Those are the bare bones – that my life is a beautiful one, tremendously blessed by my Heavenly Father, and centered entirely around God and my lovely family. So, here I am, putting my wonderfully messy life out there for all to enjoy.

Best of luck! Great blog too. There are a lack of parenting blogs out there for dads and dads to be! There are thousands of mommy blogs so this is wonderful! Parenthood is wonderful. Life-changing but would never trade it for the world! 🙂

Thanks so much! I’m very thrilled that I’m doing this blog. I think it’s absolutely crucial for there to be information for dads and dads to be, so I’m going to do my best to provide some information and humor. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll follow my blog and stay in touch. 🙂

Good luck with the journey towards fatherhood. I became a dad last year and it’s been such an amazing experience. I hope that everything goes well and that you find it every bit as rewarding as I have!

    Hey there,
It’s great you are blogging about being a dad. I became a dad recently and am fed up with the fact that society somehow believes only moms have thoughts on being new parents.

We too have thoughts, concerns, doubts, opinions…

You can expect me to take part in your disscussions in your posts.

    Again, good work.

Hi Dom! Thank you for your comment, and I completely agree with you. There is a severe lack of content from and for fathers out there. Somehow, our society seems to believe women care about raising children and fathers care only about cars and sports. Don’t get me wrong, I love those things as well, but that gross simplification cheapens the fact that many fathers care deeply about how they are raising their children.

I’m looking forward to future discussions!
